Hi

I plan to remove a small downstairs toilet in my house to create some more space over time (I have a small house, what's the point of two loo's!). I have seen http://www.screwfix.com/p/socket-plug-grey-sp296/18082 and thought this would do the job - the soil comes up through the floor.

Am I on the right lines, on the basis that I will then put down hardboard and vynil over the top? Should I be using a different fitting?

Many thanks for any help

If it`s a plastic soil pipe , you`re on the right lines - a plug of paper cemented over will work if it`s a clay drain
