Capping MDF

Hello. I put up some MDF sheets in the kitchen and would like to cap it off with this -

It will also act as a little shelf for some strip lighting. I was just wondering the best way to attach it? I don’t have one of those fancy compressor guns. Would sticks like **** do it? Here is a video with an off-cut of some MDF to give you an idea. Thanks in advance.

Why not use led strip light channel for capping, lots of profiles to choose from.

Low expansion PU glue (the type sold by ToolStation in tubes) then hold the lippings in place while the adhesive goes off by using masking tape wrapped over the edges to keep it in place
