capping off a soil pipe

I need to take out a couple of toilets, but want to keep all the pipe work in place under the floor as it may be needed at some point in the future. is it ok and straight forward to cap off the soil pipes? Any tips?

you can buy blank caps for 4inch pipe,

is it not possible just to put rumble bag tied over the open pipe?( if it is just to stop the smell)

u would need blanks if water would be flowing past the open ends

thats great. I thought about bagging them off but if you can geat the caps easy enough then that would probably be better. Thanks.
