If the car is SORN you cannot drive it on the public Highway, so Insurance TP is not necessary,
if the Insurance Company gave you Insurance you could drive it illegally on the highway ( No Tax)

Why are you keeping it ?
If you intend to make it a collectors item you could include it on your Household Insurance.

Lets not forget the real reason we pay such extortionate prices for insurance and why it is unlikely to be reformed. TAX.

Let's face it, ever since they got rid of window tax they've been discovering all sorts of alternatives to fill their coffers.
