Car Port/Shed

Hi, I know this is probably not the correct forum for this question, but there are no forums for Car Ports/Garages....so......

My wife would like to knock our old decrepit garage down and have a timber car port with a pitched roof built with stairs into the pitched roof (as the storage). Possibly a double car port.

Just wondering if anyone has done anything similar? We are looking for some inspiration

it will not qualify as a car port if it has a pitched roof or an upstairs.

Is the current garage pitched or flat roof? some pics of what it currently looks like would help. Also think about securing your roof hatch with an open car port.
