Hi there, I have a small double bedroom, landing, and staircase carpet i'm considering taking up to do the skirtings (sand and paint)

I dont want to go down the masking tape route as it sounds a pain and id like the carpet out the way

basically does anyone know how much it would cost (give or take) to refit them, the stairs are 95cm wide ish, the landing is 281x95cm (with 2 doors), and the bedroom is 356x273cm

carpets are newish so worth refitting

I live in north Manchester (salford)

thanks guys! :)

Fitting in grater manchester is around 2.39 - 2.50 a square metre

usually you can expect a minimum charge of around 30 an area

so I would say your looking at 60ish....

BUT!!!!!!!!!

be aware that if you uplift your stairs then they do not always refit properly - sometimes they end up short at the bottom, this is because of the way the carpet is chiseled into the stair / riser junction.

You should be ok if its a newish decent carpet.

this is why decorators use masking tape!!!
