A few years ago we had a fitted (bathroom) carpet laid over the top of existing floor covering (the type that emulates wooden floor boards) but now that carpet needs replacing.
Is it likely that the fitter would have only glued the border down & if so is there a product that will remove the glue residue without damaging the covering underneath?
I'm posing the question because the original covering may still be in good condition as it hadn't been down long before 'ere indoors decided on a switch to carpet!
