Are most carpets in the UK sold from 4 metre rolls nowadays.

I want a 3m x 3m carpet for my spare room.

Buying from a roll will mean I pay for an extra 3 sq. metres.

most carpets are 13ft nowadays but most big carpet shops will do end of rolls for a discount so probably cost the same even with the 1sqm wastage.
Bought a stair carpet the other week and the carpet shop we went to had roll ends of pretty much their whole range.

Although not as common as 4metre widths you can certainly get carpet in 3metre widths. Ask at your preferred carpet shop - I'm sure they will be able to help.
