cast iron glass house

we have a large cast iron glass house which we are restoring, is sandblasting the frame the best or is there something else i could use?

You could grit blast dry, or sand blast wet using an adaptor for a pressure washer. DO NOT SAND BLAST DRY (look up silicosis). If you do it wet, consider if they moisture is going to do the iron more harm than good. Whichever you choose, think about how to protect it as soon as you can afterwards.

the reason i am not keen on sandblasting is due to having to submit more reports to planning, just wonder if anything else would work?
