Cast iron stack - leaking at the bottom

Do you think the steepish fall after the restbend is anything to worry about, or would you just run with it? I figure things are moving pretty fast anyway at that point

I wouldn't worry about it, too much is better than not enough, it'll soon slow down once it gets to a section with a shallower gradient.
 
I'd chuck a bit of dry mix concrete around it to hold it in place, there's another joint within a short distance of the bend in both directions, so any movement should be taken up there.
 
Ah you beat me, I edited it out as I decided I was way overthinking! Yep, I'll get a dry mix around it.

Thanks for all your help, not a task I fancy doing again anytime soon
