Left for work and the wife rings up saying water dripping down the dining room wall from upstairs.
Turned mains water off which has stopped the leak dripping. central heating still on with no drop in pressure. It's is also directly below the Ensuite toilet.
All seems nice and dry in the toilet so I can only think of a water pipe below floor.. Water inlet to toilet, which had some new work on before Christmas and no signs of leak above floor level. Plumber spot on.

Or shower. There is a stain below shower on ceiling but the water was dripping few meters away and this would not stop if mains water turned off, would it.

So prime targets are inlet to toilet or basin.
Is there any easy way to identify where it is. We have ceramic tiles in there so difficult for a quick look. Is it a case of ripping up the floor??

Cut one or more holes in the ceiling below.

Ceilings are much easier and cheaper to repair than tiled floors.
