I am creating a doorway in a freestanding garage gable wall. The outer leaf s York stone block, the inner breeze, and an uninsulated 55_60mm cavity.
I can't find a 50mm cavity lintel locally. Would separate single wall right angle steel lintels cause any problems? 900mm
Thanks.

That's kind, but am in W Yorks. Bit heavy for post:)

Back in the old days a 6 inch concrete lintel was used on the inner skin and a metal Dorman Long formed a tray and support for the external skin.
Or a piece of 18 inch DPC was used as a tray and the brickwork sat directly on the timber frame with Brick Tor in the first 3 courses.
You could use concrete with a tray and an angle iron or metal lintel for the external skin.
