My old lady has told me that there are often people loitering outside her front door flat. Seems one of the flats is doing the airbnb thing so there are people constantly coming and going which is very unsafe.

I've told her that I can run a cable through the door with a camera attached but she says no because people will complain about it. So I thought fair enough I'll fit a door viewer with CCTV so that nobody knows they are being filmed but she can be safe that there is nobody looking to force entry etc etc.

I was thinking about this combination:

But I also want to hook it up to a LCD monitor and record it as well???

Any help appreciated

Get a ring video door bell bud. Activates on motion and for £25 a year you have cloud recording. We've just got one on our house and it's fantastic. You can even talk to whomever is at your door via your phone for extra piece of mind

That would assume that the 'old lady' has internet accesss with a very good upload speed and good wifi signal at the front door.

Is this her front door or the communal front door? Its likely that she would breach the terms of her lease if she installed cctv in the common parts or fabric of the building. However, the door frame might be hers, giving the option off a small camera. worth checking the lease to see what are common parts. If its on her property, there are no laws preventing her from doing it, unless the camera covers someone else's private area.
