CD Player in Ford Focus

Hi folks,

We have just bought a Ford Focus, and want to put a non-ford CD Player into it. Someone has told us that you need a Ford plug in kit to put it in, but I have previously put a Phillips 10 CD Multi-Changer into a Fiesta with no such kit? Is it needed or does it just make it easier?

It'll make things much simpler if you go to a place like http://tinyurl.com/2wxbw8c and get the proper interface. Halfrods also do them. It'll make life simpler if you ever want to put another on in too.

Unsure what a Ford plug in kit is? Just a cheapo wiring loom from Halfords, and maybe a fascia panel change, as you are aware?
