Hi im currently looking at having a single storey rear extension. We like the idea of having one wall cedar cladded. Two questions with this first do we build breeze block walls and put batons on the outside for the cedar cladding...how would the breeze blocks tie into the other new walls with facing bricks?

Cheers with any help

Brick and block for two and block and block with the cedar cladding is what I'm imagining.

You probably don't want to mess about with part timber frames. Just make sure your designer details the cladding properly so that it does not look like a tacked on bit of cladding - the corners and at eaves level particularly.
