hi all,

I was about to fit a basic ceiling hook for a lamp my wife brought back from morocco, however the standard light fitting already in place has a spur (although i've no idea where the spur is) and a next light feed off of it.

I have been crawling the internet trying to find a ceiling fitting that has the correct connections built in along with a hook fitted, but to no avail.

in short, does such a thing exist? if not does anyone have any bright ideas about how i can solve this.

cheers

Fit a suitable hook into the ceiling joist as close to the ceiling rose and then connect into the ceiling rose.

That way the lamp is hanging from a strong joist and not a sheet of plaster board.

hi,

thanks for that, i have to confess that was my intial idea, but 'asthetics are everything' apperantly.

i really need a one-stop solution so that we only have one fitting on the ceiling rather than two.

cheers
