Ceiling Rose

Hi,
I have a ceiling rose in my hall way. I'm wanting to change it to another fitting. Whats the safest way to do this, as I cant get access from above. As there are all the wires etc, and obviously its not safe just pushing them in to the ceiling.

not sure what type of fitting you are changing it to, but all I have done is connected the switched live, neutral and earth (if required) to the new fitting and fitted the loop wires into a terminal block.

You can use a choc box to safely stash your wiring.
