Celotex ?

I have had my garage converted to an office and utility room. The partition was made of a wooden frame, celotex placed in the frame and then plasterboarded, then plastered. What would the best type of fixing be for hanging kitchen wall units on the wall ? toggle ?

Locate the structure of the frame by identifying where the screws through the plasterboard into the battens are. Buy a small rare-earth magnet, stick it in a sandwich bag, offer it up the the wall and move it about - soon enough the magnet will stick the screw heads. You can then screw battens to the structure of the wall and mount your cabinets to the battens.

Instead of using the individual brackets which come with the wall units, use a continous strip which can be cut to length to suit your wall width. They have screw holes all the way down so that you can get a good fixing into the studs instead of just relying on the plasterboard.
