How much washing up liquid should I add to a bucket of cement/mortar mix for pointing etc. making it easier to work with.

None. I believe it’s not recommended. Why not try and get some plasticiser?

For non structural work, a quick squirt in the water bucket, but for the price you may as well buy the proper stuff

This being - presumably - a family-oriented forum, modesty prevents one from saying what additives some builders have been known to put in the cement mixer.

Problem is - buy a 2-litre can of plasticiser for a small job, and you can't use what's left for washing up. :(

For just bucket, you'd only want about a few drops of fairy, no more than 1/4 teaspoon.
