going to be sand cement rendering internal walls next week for first time and after reading up seems thermalite are a pain to get a good adhesion to and hollow out very easily. After reading up on it now confused as to which is best way to do it?
some site say the thermalite have to be thoroughly wetted down (read drenched) while other's say just add pva to render and others recommend applying 5/4to1 (one said a 2to1 dilution)diluted pva directly to thermalite blocks .have even read some suggesting sbr be added but as this is internal didn't think this would be necessary, and rather expensive if it is needed.
any recommendations about what technique works for you
thanks
