hi

i recently changed some taps in my bathroom and
have had no end of problem since this ... i had of
course to turn off the cold and hot water when i did
this and it SEEMS to be affecting my central heating
(although im not 100% sure it is) ... what im saying
is i havent a clue if ive accidentally set something up
wrong whilst doing the tap change ...

my boiler is a myson economist and the timer associated is
a randall 102 ... the heating seems to come on okay with
the timer but doesnt 'last' ie the radiators go cold after a
short while ... the water heating (on the same switch) seems
to be working fine

i can provide more on my system, im just not sure what
people will need to know ...

i have a theory that there is an intermittent fault on the timer,
particular the swicth from 'hot water' to 'hot water and central
heating' (but would this explain why the heating comes on and
then goes off shortly after? obviously the heating SHOULD still
be on according to the timer ...)

this probably sounds a very confused plea for help and i hope
someone can help!

thankyou
danny

No reason why just turning off the hot and cold supplies to the taps while you changed them should have any effect.

Have you checked the wall thermostat for the central heating is working OK? Turn it up to max and check if the heating comes on and stays on.
