Hi,
I switched my radiators to "off" on the wall panel last night. However the radiators have been on all night ?

We have most of the rooms rads switched off around the house. Last night i turned two back on, (one in bathroom and one in a bedroom).

Any ideas ?.

Thanks,
CW.

What wall panel are you talking about?
Are they electric storage radiators by any chance?

Its a british gas wall panel, controls CH and HW, timed, off, once and on.
They are not electric storage radiators.

Not used CH for a while now. Im wondering if something is stuck on?

Its best to run CH every couple of weeks for a few minutes.

It sounds as if a motor valve has failed or jammed!

Your "wall panel" is probably what we call a programmer or timeclock. But if your knowledge of the terminology is not so good are you sure you are going to get very far checking the motor valves? ( Or should I call them pipe blobs in your language? )

Got you; it's a timeswitch. It could be broken

Can you adjust the times the boiler comes on or are they fixed?
Can you have CH ON separately from the HW?
How do you control the temperature of the house?
How do you control the hot water temperature?

Yes I can set the heating to come on at different times.
Water can be set independantly of the CH.
There is a thermostat in the lounge which controls the temperature.

Sorry if im being a bit sketchy, im at work and cant remember everything, only lived here a few months now.

Sorry not a plumber. But any thing that I can check would be good.
Im an aerospace engineer (elctrical) so do know a bit about DIY e.t.c.

You should have one or two motorized valves after the pump. What have you got?
