Thank you everybody for the help I fixed the heating.

I decided to check all wiring first that was ok.
Then checked valve operation and thermostat operation all seemed fine.
But the heating valve was sometimes misbehaving I put on a new motor to it £43 job done got the motor from Parts Centre part of the wolsley group.
