Hi

Looking for a 28mm connection filter and come across the Spirotech mb3. Are these any good? I’ve only ever had magnaclean before on 22mm

Thanks

Cant comment on the Spirotech, but does it have to be 28mm or can you use a reducer?

Flow & return will be 28mm and wouldn’t want to reduce flow really hence the 28mm fitting

1. You can get either Magnaclean Professional or Spirotech MB3 with 28 mm fittings - no additional reducers.
2. I've got the MB3 (22 mm) and no real problems with it in 12 years. Only slight issue is you need to tie the (external) magnet on or it can fall off.
3. The Magnaclean is fine. My opinion is that, in comparison with the MB3, it has a better magnet for pulling magnetite out of the system, but not much filter action for other particles.

Thanks. Might stick with the mb3 as I have a deaerator as well from spirotech to go on the flow
