The plastic insert in a ceramic tap head has been ' shredded ' due to over tightening this now means that the tap head is loose and cannot operate. Can you buy a replacement plastic insert or are there any other options. The manufacturer of the tap is no longer in business

thankyou

Im still confused, what do you mean by ceramic fitting?

Are you refering to a ceramic disc tap, or taps with a ceramic head/handle??

I'm not sure either, but I suspect he is referring to the splines on the tap head being worn away.....however, if its the insert itself there are replacements available, but it will have to be exactly like for like.
John :)

Burnerman , yes you have it spot on , its the plastic grooved fitting inside the tap head , does any one know where you can buy these please.
