Had a boiler installed a few years ago, they did a 'magnacleanse' on the system prior to installing the boiler.

Anyway its been that company who have came out and done the services up till this point so nothings ever been flagged up.

I had a service done yesterday and the plumber showed me all the black sludgy water in the system, he said if i needed any warranty work done they might not repair it due to the condition of the water.

The warranty is through the company who installed the boiler, am i likely to run into any issues?

The plumber told me sometimes they get the customer to have a powerflush done prior to them undertaking any repairs. This company is a large national company so not sure how strict they would be compared to small independants? Given one of their subcontractors installed the boiler and they would have seen if there was sludgy water during the installation.

I have a magnaclean filter just before the boiler aswell.

Im also having a new rad fitted soon so i assume the system will be drained then.

Anything i could do prior to this to help flush it out a bit?

DIYer and have done drains, cleans, new rads, etc on my 25+ year old old system.
Fair bit of sludge in the rads.

If it is a like for like radiator, they won't drain the system.
If you need pipework modifying it may require a full or partial drain. Upstairs would only require a partial.

Are you getting it serviced by the same company that installed it?
They should be adding inhibitor at service.
