Chagos Islands, a solution?

Are you stupid? His name is in the title and his name is mentioned again following your bold text. The regulation is to protect Too Kweer's massive, publicly funded pension in ways that the general public do not benefit. Classic socialist lawyer, classic Labour politician. That's the memo.
You claimed it was a special law just for him.
a special law just for him.
Which is clearly incorrect
Your link proves your accusation is wrong.

Use your imagination, You seem to have plenty of it.

It can do, if it wants to join the list of countries that have no respect for international law and justice.
Or in your case, the list of primitive hominids pretending to be homo sapiens. Get back in the monkey enclosure you benefits scrounger.

"Might be subject to further UN action..."

How terrifying. Like what?

Naive people like you following the judgements of bent people representing their own nations on a court that we can ignore if it suits us. You are gullible.

The whole deal is murky and looks terrible for Britain.

It is obvious to me that the USA is behind it. Diego Garcia is one of their most important assets. There will be complex strategic reasons why they want us to do this deal. That is why Trump keeps going back and forth. His intelligence services ands military keep explaining to him why the USA want this deal. So Trump says he is in favour. But it is complicated and he doesn't really understand the reasons, so he keeps changing his mind.

Why don't you stop this pretence of debate, because you're obviously no good at it, and you prefer to 'rise' to a tirade of abuse.
Do you get some perverted kind of sexual satisfaction from it?

Trump hasn't the foggiest idea of the world beyond the American coastline. He's playing at foreign affairs like a man who can see the midterms coming up to swallow his tenure in the WH whole.

As far as I understand the situation these islands were never Mauritius territory. The UK relocated the inhabitants to Croydon in the 1960s and they now want the territory back.

Quite why they have been served eviction notices from the island is beyond me

This is all rather smelly

What on earth is really going on:

The answer seems to be that the UK has refused permission for the USA to launch attacks on Iran from Diego Garcia. Because they are against international law and we would be breaking the law.

So, Trump is having a tantrum.

Where have you read 'he needs our permission' or is this an assumption.

Sorry, I forgot a link:

Under a long-held agreement, the US would have to first request to use any UK sovereign military bases before conducting military operations.

Under international law, there is no distinction between a state carrying out the attack and those which have supported that state, if the latter has "knowledge of the circumstances of the internationally wrongful act".
