Morning everyone,

wanted to ask if someone could point me in the correct direction of wiring the above pir to a fluorescent light i have in the garage.
the instruction the pir comes with is as follows 3 wires in a choc block

1. red live' has an arrow coming out
2. blue neutral has an arrow coming in
3. brown live has an arrow coming in

it is not very clear to me how to wire in the sensor to my existing light which is operated by a single 2 way switch, can anyone help.
I have attached a link to show the pir sensor.

How many cables / conductors do you have at the light fitting which you want this PIR to control?

1. red live has an arrow coming out - switched line
2. blue neutral has an arrow coming in - neutral
3. brown live has an arrow coming in - permanent line

hi
i have live, neutral, switched live, earth at the light, then have another live, neutral, earth going off to another light.

thanks

I assume you want to retain the existing switch to use as a manual overide?

Using a length of 3 core and earth between the light fitting and the sensor, connect as follows:

Light fitting connections - colour of conductor - PIR connections

Perm Line at light - BROWN - Brown Line with arrow coming IN

Switched Line at light - BLACK (sleeved BROWN) - Red line with arrow going OUT

Neutral at light - GREY (sleeved BLUE) - Blue neutral with arrow coming IN

CPC (earth) at light - bare conductor sleeved G/Y - Spare terminal block if there's no connection for a CPC
