change alarm battery

need to replace my main alarm battery whats the best procedure

open panel enter code take battery out put new battery in that you got from maplins (other suppliers of batteries are available) connect battery close lid enter your code and maybe push some other buttons

the other key you need to press is the # key! bottom right corner!
