Accenta 3 mini - change battery - mains off?

As the title.

I need to change the battery in our Accenta 3 mini. Do I need to turn off the mains?

An earlier thread says to -
- open the case
- cancel the alarm with the code
- replace battery
- close case
- reset tamper alarm

Doesn't say to turn off the mains.

I'm more than happy to work with the mains on ... just worried about losing settings if the mains is turned off and the battery removed.
