I'm looking to paint the living room and kitchen in time for Christmas but not too sure what colours to really go for. It's only going to be for a short time as the house will be getting renovated completely in the next year but just want a change for the short term. Nothing else will really change apart from the colour so was wondering what might look ok with the original fittings/carpets. I'd like a grey in the living room like in the first picture but would it be too dark for an entire room, or even look ok with the carpet?
There is not much to paint in the kitchen, just a small wall and round the Windows but what would go with the wood cupboards? Just not magnolia/white.
