Hello folks, I'm trying to change the old heating controls (potterton) to a new drayton lp822, I'm really struggling with the wiring which I don't have a clue about. I'll attach a pic of the current wiring on the plate, how it's wired to the potterton and ill attach a pic of hoe it needs to be for the drayton. Thanks

Wiring wise, the Drayton is practically the same as your old system.
The 2 N's connect to N
L to L
3 to 3
And 4 to 4

The Potterton has a link between L and 5. This isn't needed on the Drayton, but importantly, there is another Live wire connected to terminal 5 - this will have to be moved to the L terminal of the Drayton.
This wire...

...the earth wires will need to be safely parked (and connected together!).

You may also need to change some settings, depending on your system type.

Thank you, I have done as you have said and all is working spot on so far. Really appreciate the help.
