Hi all,

I started soe DIY a while back in our spare room and decided to remove the old radiator which i did and i now have a new one the same size to refit. Problem is the brackets are not the same and i now need to refit new brackets and hang. How easy is this to do and how easy to match up the height to the same as the old one so i dont need to change any piping.

Also does anyone know how much it should cost for me to get a plumber to do this if i cant change it. I have the old valves etc still and i dont think there is much re pipe to do

Chris

It's about 4 times as hard to fit a rad to pipes as pipes to a rad! YOu justr have to measure everything very carefully and hope there's a little miovement in the pipes.

I'd expect it to take me half an hour but allow for two...
Then there's the question of whether you have to drain down, which depends on the situation.
