I have taken off 1 old radiator, 1100mm by 600mm, new one doesn't fit on old brackets. What's your tips/suggestions on how to measure up for the new brackets and hang radiator?

Also the new one is slightly shorter can i use valve 25mm extensions?

Thankyou M x

Center up the rad into postion between the rad valves, try and make it equal distance at both ends. Mark where the rad hangers are to the wall.

Now lay the rad face down. Put a bracket on the rad hangers. Measure from the very bottom of the bracket to the middle of the rad tail. Make a note of it.

Measure from the floor to the middle of the rad valve. Make a note of it.

Add the two measurements together, put that measurement on the wall. Use a spirit level and align bracket with marks. Mark holes. Drill and postion.

You can get 25, 30 and 35mm valve ext. Don't go for telescopic, cheap but leak.

Jesus, its harder writing than doing!
