Changing fuse for new consumer unit

I’m gonna get him to install a new consumer unit. Is it a fairly simple affair to swap for a sparky? Connecting existing circuits to the new board?

If he offers to fit the CU and test afterwards he is a crook, and you could be exposed to uncontrollable additional costs.

The testing of your existing circuits must be carried out first because existing faults could be found that would make the new CU inoperable. The faults must be rectified before the new CU is installed.
