changing isolation valve to accept a male flexi tail???

Hi Guys,

Quick question, connecting up new tap to an isolation valve. The end on the taps flexi tail is male. Isolation valve is also male. What's the best way to connect the two? I was thinking a very short length of copper tube between the two held in place by each of the compression fittings?

Is this correct?
