Hi everyone.

I’m looking to change my Nest to Hive and just wanted a bit of advice on the wiring.

The boiler is a Vaillant pure 418 heat only and I have a Hive heat and hot water (dual).

As you can see it’s a bit of a mess. I know the red and blue far right are power for the nest so need terminating and that 3&6 are heat and hot water on. Am I right in saying the commons don’t need looping from the live for the Hive and that terminal 4 which is intermediate on the nest just needs terminating??

Thanks in advance.

L&N are the same L&N on the Hive.
3 is heating on, 6 is hot water on, 4 is hot water off - all connect to the terminals with the same functions on the Hive.

Hive has the L links internally, they are not required. Neither is the T1/T2 as the Hive is a battery operated piece.
