Hi guys,

I want to change my halogen down light bulbs that are mains voltage (there is no transformer) to LED bulbs, but without changing the down light fitting itself.

Is it a case of, take out the halogen bulbs and replace with the LED bulbs or do i need to buy anything extra for this?

Thanks.

Basically it's a straight swap with the GU10 lamps, if you have any dimmer switches, that lamps will need to be dimmable type.

And depending on the load (total watts) of the new LED lamps you might need a new dimmer too - most standard ones need 60W to operate properly, but low load ones are available if you can't get to this with the LED's

There are no dimmers involved. Simple case of a switch on or off. Thanks guys.
