Charging from car lighter socket.

OK, I know there's a car section but that has less visitors than Altrincham FC.

Right, I have bought a portable speaker system for my iphone which charges via a USB cable.

The charge suggests 5v DC, I have a USB plug-in converter for my car cigarette socket. Can I charge from this without causing damage?
It charges my iphone OK.

Should be fine Terry. The plug in charger should deliver the correct voltage (ie shouldn't deliver 12v )

Might be slow to charge if it requires more power than the charger provides, my adapter has two usb ports one producing 1amp the other 2amps for greater charge.
