Would it be worth considering installing a "Charity donate button" as a way for users who receive help from the DIYnot community to express their thanks and appreciation

The DIYnot community could choose one or several charities by voting in a forum poll - donators could then have several to choose from with which to express thanks and appreciation for help received from the DIYnot community

You don't need a button 5o give to charity, you can do it yourself directly and prevent DIYnot having to manage your donations.
