People who commit these abhorrent acts aren’t rational.

Fuelling hate, like MAGA has done, creates an environment more likely to tip the mentally unstable into a state where they become self radicalised.

It might be framed as left / right polarisation but really it’s availability of guns to the mentally unstable, these sort of people can just as easily become obsessed about anything.
