I find that others can recommend their favourite boilers on here, but if I do, I get castigated for my troubles! These are the best boilers I know of:

Viessmann Vitodens 100-W will need an LPG conversion kit; a 200-W can be converted on-site without extra kit, and if fitted with weather compensation, will not require any further controls.

Try Plumbase for the best price.

That's because you work for them!

Thanks mate, I'd need to check the price, but I think it may be a wee bit on the pricey side for my customer. But I don't know yet! Thanks fella.

The Biasi range can be converted to LPG.

The Riva Advance M110 is about £550 and the Riva Plus about £440.

The latter is a conventional boiler with recouperator with finned tubes to increase the efficienty to 90%. I think its called the M196.

Stay clear of the ActiveA for the moment. Its not out long enough to have an idea of the reliability and the HE is ali!

Thanks Telly Tony, I'll check them out. I like the Biasi boilers & fitted many. Is the Riva Plus a Band A??...........

Well there's probably some cheap stuff in B&Q. It'll be rubbish and may break down a lot, but it'll be cheap. If you want good/reliable, on the other hand, you'll have to put your hand a little deeper into your pocket. What sort of budget are you working on?

B&Q don't sell LPG combi boilers mate, thanks anyway.

Sorry 'muggles' I was wrong, B&Q technically do sell LPG boilers, as they sell the Biasi Riva Advance......Not sure how I'd get on trying to get a conversion kit from the daft wee lassie in the Orange apron???!!

The Riva Plus is 90% efficient ( just ).

They had to improve the recouperator by the finned tube.

Its very good because not being premix its far less sensitive to mixture problems.

Its based on the M96 which is one of the most reliable boilers around. Less than 1% of makers faults in the first year. Actually far less.

Thanks again Tony the Biasi RivA Plus is the one I'll be buying, I like Biasi boilers a lot & always find them easy to install - with little or no call-backs.

baxi netatec 650 quid including flue just plug in turn on press a couple of buttons and it will set itself up

The Biasi RivA Plus is clearly the best value chaps, but thanks anyway.
Regardless of anyones views Telly Tony & I think their boilers are a great wee unit.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post.
