chimney blocked

does anyone know if it is possible to put a camera down a chimney to view a blockage? If you do, do you know of anyone in Edinburgh that supplies this service?

Scopes can be bought quite cheaply.

Normally the 2 culprits are birds nest or collapsed masonry.

Are you trying to recommission a redundant vent?

Thanks for getting back to me. I believe it is one of the feathers??? I need to find out what it is before I embark on more expense? I am trying to restore and insert a new flue to use the original fire.

Chimney sweep will be able to tell you where the blockage is in the vent, possibly if its a nest or collapse.

Get yourself a cheap cctv camera, plug it in the tv, tape it to a set of sweeps rods, also tape on a small torch.
