We have been in our victorian house for nearly 18 years now.
When we bought it the chimney breast downstairs in the kitchen had been removed some 9 years previous but the breast remained upstairs in the room above.
It was picked up on the survey and we were advised to get it checked out. Inspection showed it to be supported under the floorboards. The thing has not moved since we bought the house.
Thinking of selling house now....should this be a concern for a modern surveyor?
How much would it be to remove?
