Depends what you ordered. Me and 3 mates went out on Friday night to my local Indian. I think it’s the same price sitting in as takeaway - not sure though. 6 poppadoms, 3 starters, 4 large and two small beers. 4 Naans, 4 rices, four average main meals. Came to £135 before the tip. Here’s the takeaway prices. https://www.passagetoindias.co.uk/menu.php

Our usual weekly jaunt to our local, (all you can eat), Chinese buffet usually comes to around £108 including drinks, (we only ever drink diet coke because I don't like lager).
Take away for my wife and I comes to around £35-£50 depending on what we order.

Cheaper than that. Because there's just the two of us, we order large so we have enough for two evenings which means we can get a bit more variety.
Chinese used to be 24 quid Indian 34 quid. The last 18 months prices have gone up, Chinese about 30-32, Indian had got to about 50 quid so we knocked it on the head, then a new one opened up and with our 'loyalty discount' of 10% we're paying about 35 quid.

Usual order would be 1 x keema naan, 1 x peshwari naan, 1 keema rice, chicken biryani which comes with a small veg curry, another chicken dish and lamb boona. An oinion bhaji and poppadoms with dips would add a bit.

Went for a Chinese meal for my Dulcie last week.

About £125 for 5 sit down.

This is a bit posh (ish) David Beckham would eat here whenever lived this part and have seen Rod Stewart too.

I was talking to Rod and Becks only the other night. They said they went to the same Chinky as you.

Chinese takeaway would be about £60 for 5 of us.

Took the gf for a thai the other night and we had a bill of £90

Takeaway, hmm. Not had one, unless those toasted things you get in motorway services count.

I did. He said she was all bollux.

When I was 17 I went out with a Chinese girl without even knowing it. Her surname was Poon.

She was the first girl I ever went down on, and that didn't ring any bells either.
