Choice of flooring in kitchen - advice please

Hi all

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but thought i'd try my luck here!

Am going through the process of redesigning the kitchen/diner fully, but cant decide on the flooring

Do like engineered wood and tiled floor options, but was trying to figure out the pros and cons of both. Will be a high traffic area, and wary that the floor might get damaged, especially from the dining room chairs etc

What are peoples general opinion? thanks

i used laminate from homebase!

the heavy duty type - poosibly for bathrooms. its thick and tough

Its been down 18months now and not a mark on it.

I protect the legs of the chairs with rubber feet - similar to that found on a walking stick! Table legs have the self adhesive felt on them u can buy in hardware shops. Dont like the felt on chair legs as the dirt and dust sticks to it, becomes compact and begins to scratch the floor.

I replaced an engineered wood floor with this laminate and I have NO regrets!
