Oh God, it looks like hawkeye is disappointed with the impending introduction of legislation to outlaw upskirting.

To deal with your points in turn: The bill does not protect anyone, but it does bring in severe penalties for anyone caught breaking that law. That law would cover existing gaps in other laws.

Are you suggesting that under-age school children (boys and girls) should be excused or excluded from the offence of upskirting/voyerism etc.? The mind boggles, especially in relation to the potential age of the victims!

Does it matter how many people go around upskirting, FFS! One deviant could obscenely offend hundreds or thousands of females! Your question should have been phrased as "how many females are victims?"

But you cannot be expected to understand such issues.

The government should stay out of trying to micromanage peoples behaviour, they aren't very good at it as all the public order offences that came under blairs government really did nothing to address the cultural failures within society. It just turned the police into social workers / nannies , and that's not what they are there for.

We already have public decency laws.. i.e. you can't go around with your cock out in public.

Also this isn't a nonce issue. The actions of one kid to another and the actions of one adult to a kid are very very different things.

I'm all for tighter nonce legislation. Quite happy to see pedophile chemically castrated, life imprisonment terms etc.. trouble with this is that would never work as most prosecuting judges like to shag kids at the weekend.
