Im going to replace my sockets with chrome sockets, what size earth cable will i need to earth the outside plate

should already have an earth going to the terminal in the plastic socket. normally for 2.5mm cable twin and earth the earth is 1.5mm. just use another to link the earth terminal to the backbox earth. If twin and earth has not been used and has been ran in in single core, use the same size as the hase/neutral. If still not clear some more detail from yourself will be required. Hope this helps
