Hi mechanics, I have a very odd problem.
I own a citroen synergie 2,0 hdi 2001 model and have done for the past 7 years.
But yesterday I heard a banging noise under the bonet so I stopped the car and found that the edge of the auxilary belt was shredded, so I cut off the part that was flapping about which left me with a thinner belt but not broken which I guessed would get me home.
But when I tried to restart the engine it wouldnt start and eventually the battery run down, I got a jump start but still wouldnt start, dont know if its anything to do with the damaged belt or just coinsidence.
I have checked theres diesel gettig through and thats all fine.
