City & Guilds N/SVQ 6012 Domestic Gas

Has anybody on here completed or is working towards this qualification?

I'm half way through my Level 2 in Plumbing and my local college has suggested that I do this gas course alongside the plumbing course.

I've looked it up here and here and it is recognised by Corgi as a substitute for the ACS but works out a whole lot cheaper, if you are in no rush to get gas qualified as it takes a bit longer.

Had some experience assessing some candidates who had done the 6012 at the local college I used to work at, the course like any is only as good as the people running it. You will still need to be working alongside a CORGI engineer to gain your on the job practical evidence some of which must be inspected by a qualified tutor.
